A friend needed to give a tumbler as a Christmas gift, so she asked me to help her with it. Given that i just got my Xtool S1 20W, i decided to go ahead and try, i mean, what could go wrong, right?
I created the design using Corel Draw 2019, saved the file as PNG. opened the file XCS and created the wished area to be engraved. I used the RA2 Pro. The settings, once the computer had the measurements of the tumbler (see picture for more information,) and after checking that the tumbler was perfectly balanced, then i started the process.
The S1 has the hose that comes in the box to the window but i think i will be getting the air purifier as soon as possible.
I mean, to be my first project, i am very pleased and the friend is extremely happy.

I'm not sure i converted the image to BMP, i just imported the PNG file, resize to the selected size and got it done.

The only thing i can say is that you should learn with your own products, so you don't, accidentally, mess with someone else's.

I did, however, make a tumbler of my own before. so, i lost the fear by then.

Step 2: secure tumbler

Just make sure that your tumbler is perfectly secured to avoid undesired results. I had to remove the handle first because it can't be done with it, unless you work harder to readjust RA2.

Step 3: create work area and image

make sure the whole image is included in your work area, otherwise, you may get incomplete engravings, or your laser may engrave areas of the tumbler you don't want to be affected.

Step 4: get your setting ready to go

Make sure to change the settings so your S1 does the job you want. Otherwise, you may only scratch the surface.

Step 5: Start engraving

Make sure the lid is closed and that you did, at least, enough “framings” before you Start the engraving process…

Once the tumbler shows you the area to be engraved in an imaginary frame, then you are ready to go.

Step 6: get the finish tumbler from the S1

Process Material

Get the tumbler from the S1 and clean it properly. I used totally awesome that i got at the $ Store and one of magic eraser to clean the tumbler. After that, I used plain water to clean and dried the tumbler.

Once cleaned, i put the handle back and voila!

Step 7: Take a picture and enjoy it!

After the tumbler is clean and dry, pack and deliver.

Hopefully your friend will be as happy as you
