Cute little vector flower earrings and you only need to start with FOUR vector points! That's right, this is so simple to make in XCS 2.0 and really fun!
Basic Information is loading...
Step 1: Create a Petal With 4 Vector Points

I used the Vector Pen to draw 4 points at the top, bottom, and left and right middles.  This will initially look like a diamond.

Next, use Vector Edit and change all but the bottom points to “Perfect symmetry”.  The top one will get short tails as we just want it rounded enough to not be pokey when we wear the earrings.  The two on the sides have longer tails so that it gets a nice gentle “petal-like” curve.  Keep playing around until you have a shape you like or add a few more points for variations.  Click done!

Step 2: Create an Inner Outline and Duplicate

I outlined the vector with a negative number to create an inner shape.  You may want to edit this vector afterwards to adjust the shape to suit you.  I then used “subtract” to remove the inner shape from the outer.  Next you will duplicate the petal, rotate it 180 degrees, and move it to the bottom so they are just touching.  Go ahead and “combine” these together.

Step 3: Create the Petals

Now create 4 total copies and align them to each other vertically and horizontally so they overlap.  Select just one of the copies and in the Rotate box enter 90.  Select the next one and enter 45.  And then select the last one and enter 315.  Now you will have an 8 petaled flower.  Select them all and choose “combine”.  I also added a circle to the center and then chose “subtract”.

Step 4: Add Hole for Earring Hook

I added a circle to the top that is 2.5 mm for my jump rings to go through.  Don't put it to close to the edge or the earring might break later.

Step 5: Add Your Hardware

I used 4 jump rings and 2 earring hooks to finish them off and I think they turned out super cute for spring!
